QUANADA, A domestic violence shelter and rape-crisis center, is seeking a Domestic Violence Counselor to provide trauma-informed, client-centered counseling services to victims of domestic violence.
Qualifications *Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, counseling, sociology, psychology, or related field * Passionate about serving survivors of domestic violence *Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal and inter-group relationships with people of diverse backgrounds *Achieve Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional credential within two years of employment
Essential Responsibilities *Provide client-centered individual and group counseling for shelter and walk-in clients *Participate in hospital response and shelter on-call activities *Provide advocacy services and case management *Complete required documentation of services *Other duties that support the mission of Quanada
