QUINCY AND TRI-TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENTS FIREFIGHTER TESTING The Quincy Fire Department and Tri-Township Fire Protection District hereby gives notice that applications for employment as a full time Firefighter are available beginning July 18th, 2022 through August 26th at 4:30pm.
Applications for the Quincy Fire department can be obtained on the City ml(Tristate lo.jpg) of Quincy website at: www.quincyil.gov.
Applications for Tri-Township Fire Department can be obtained at the Tri-Township Fire Department, 227 South 54th St., Quincy, IL.
Written exam testing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at John Wood Community College, 1301 South 48th St, Quincy, IL 62305.
Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, a high school graduate (or GED) and possess a valid driver's license.
On the day of testing, applicants must be not less than 20 1/2 nor more than 34 years on the day of the test (or have been actively employed as a career firefighter with an Illinois Fire Department or District within the last year.
Any person who turned 35 while serving as a member of the active or reserve components of any of the branches of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard of any state, whose service was characterized as honorable or under honorable, if separated from the military, and is currently under the age of 40 may also test).
Applicants must be willing to comply with residency requirements for each department.
All applicants must pass the following: written examination, CPAT - candidate physical agility test, oral interview, background check, psychological and polygraph tests, a physical examination and a drug test.
