Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor of Environmental Science 
The Department of Geography and the Environment at Villanova University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor (continuing non-tenure track) position in Environmental Science starting in August 2024. We seek a colleague to teach in the environmental sciences to support the growth of the Department’s undergraduate programs. A Ph.D. in environmental science or a related field is required. Exceptional candidates with at least six years of full-time undergraduate teaching experience will be considered for the rank of Associate Teaching Professor. Opportunities for promotion to Associate Teaching Professor and Full Teaching Professor exist with demonstrated excellence and leadership in teaching, ongoing scholarly engagement, and a strong record of service to the institution. The position is a 9-month academic appointment, and the incumbent will teach 16 contact hours per semester (for example, one course consisting of three hours of lecture plus three three-hour labs per week, or two separate courses each consisting of three hours of lecture and three-hours in lab each week). Our new colleague will primarily teach the two-semester introductory environmental science lecture and laboratory sequence for undergraduate Environmental Science and Environmental Studies majors, and there is also the opportunity to develop and teach more advanced courses and/or courses for non-majors. Stanford Department of African and African American Studies Open Rank: Black Studies in the Arts

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures seeks to hire a tenure-track professor of French and Francophone literatures and cultures specializing in any of the periods prior to the nineteenth century, from the Middle Ages to the aftermath of the French Revolution. We are looking for a scholar who envisions their research within a capacious conception of the spaces, texts, and times involved in pre-1800 French and Francophone studies. We are especially interested in approaches that place literature and cultural expressions in conversation with interdisciplinary fields such as gender and sexuality studies, decolonial studies, and the environmental humanities. Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is crucial, as is the ability to capture the interest of a diverse student body.&nbsp;
The Department will consider candidates with a PhD from disciplines other than French Studies, but fluency in French is required. Doctorate required by the time the appointment begins on July 1, 2024. The tenure-track professor will be responsible for teaching four courses a year and supervising theses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Vice President of Administration and Finance

The Management and Organization (MOR) Department at the USC-Marshall School of Business seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members in Strategy to begin in Fall 2024. We welcome applications from candidates at all ranks. We seek candidates who are or have the potential to become, leading scholars on topics relevant to strategy and organizations, including but not limited to innovation, entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, alliances, innovation, and/or corporate strategy.&nbsp; We are also looking for displayed capability in teaching.
The MOR department is interdisciplinary; our 23 tenured/tenure-track faculty members span organizational behavior, organization theory, and strategy and have a variety of backgrounds, including psychology, sociology, economics, and general management/strategy. We are a collaborative and inclusive group committed to an environment that embraces a diversity of topics and methodological approaches. In the strategy area, research interests are broad, and faculty complement publishing in management and strategy journals with publications in discipline journals. We seek scholars who want to engage in a multi-disciplinary group, focus on core strategy questions, and who could potentially create undergraduate and/or MBA electives. We are seeking faculty who want to engage the strategy community, but publications in discipline journals are also valued. We are open to all kinds of methods and approaches.

Salary is dependent on qualifications, and employee benefits for full-time faculty are excellent.&nbsp; The annual base salary range for this position is $165,750 - $420,370. Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Law)

The Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning will work with MIT educators (faculty, teaching assistants, and other instructional staff) to support teaching and learning through the implementation of research-based practices and pedagogies via workshops, individual consultations, and classroom observations. Will develop and disseminate timely resources for MIT educators highlighting evidence-based classroom practices and findings from the learning sciences. Will design and lead workshops to meet articulated and perceived needs of the MIT teaching community, including workshops on teaching-related career development in collaboration with Career Advising and Professional Development. Will work closely with the associate director for graduate student teaching to serve as an instructor in and contribute to ongoing development of the TLL certificate programs for graduate students and postdocs. Will help build a network connecting resources among academic departments, TLL, and other campus units that support graduate students. Will contribute original content to continuously update and improve TLL’s website. Will independently and/or collaboratively engage in the evaluation of educational innovations and assessment of student outcomes to provide constructive, practical, and informative feedback to educators.&nbsp;
REQUIRED: &nbsp;Ph.D./Ed.D. in a related field (e.g., engineering education, science education, or a STEM &nbsp;discipline); at least three years’ experience in educational development in higher ed or a related field; demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty; experience in college-level teaching; demonstrated knowledge of the issues, best practices, current research, and innovations in STEM higher education, including those related to academic belonging and inclusion; ability to work collaboratively, listen carefully, and communicate tactfully; excellent writing and presentation skills; and ability to work in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision&nbsp;
