Billing AdministratorCustomer Service Representative Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative seeks a full-time Billing Administrator/Customer Service Representative for their Palmyra Office. The Billing Administrator/Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing a variety of clerical, computer-based posting, typing, and general office duties, primarily, but not exclusively, related to the maintenance of all consumers' electric energy accounts. Responsible for the preparation of member-consumer bills, updating rate schedules in the billing system, verifying calculations, applying discounts and penalties, applying payments, and balancing accounts. Accountable for answering inquiries and complaints and adjusting bills as needed. Receives payments, accounts for monies received, and maintains accurate records of all consumer records. Required Skills - Excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of basic math, and ability to learn and understand the Cooperative's mapping system. Must demonstrate a high level of discretion. Must possess a high level of attention to detail. Education/Experience - A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College Credit and prior related experience preferred. Lifting Capacity - Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Other Requirements - The successful candidate must pass the customer service and computer literacy tests administered by Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative.
