Probationary Firefighter/EMT

The Turners Falls Fire District, located within the Town of Montague,
MA, is accepting applications for the position of Probationary
Firefighter/EMT. This is a full time position plus overtime and details.
The Turners Falls Fire Department is a Combination department
providing fire suppression, search & rescue, basic life support, and
specialized functions to the Turners Falls Fire District as well as our
surrounding communities, responding to over 1600 calls per year.

Applicants for the position must possess a valid Massachusetts
driver’s license and possess Massachusetts Certification as an EMT-
Basic. The candidate will be required to successfully complete a
physical fitness ability test, physical examination and the Recruit
Program of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. Applicants
must be able to pass a background investigation and CORI check.
The starting pay grade for the position is $50,341.60 - $52,223.52 per
year with benefits, college education incentive, holiday pay, overtime
opportunities, and a step increase after one year.
