Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) is seeking a National Sales Manager that will drive sales efficiency and performance through effective management of tools, data, and internal processes aligned to Sales leadership’s strategy for title sponsorships, integrations, and branded content for national, unscripted programming. &nbsp;This role combines hands-on management of the Business Development team with rigorous KPI analysis to optimize prospecting activity, conversion rates, and pipeline health to consistently meet or exceed revenue and margin targets. &nbsp;The ideal candidate has a combination of leadership skills, business acumen, and creative thinking to effectively manage and motivate the Business Development team, and collaborate cross functionally with HMPG Leadership, Production, Business Affairs, and Finance.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Own day-to-day sales pipeline management: identify, research, prioritize, and equitably assign targets to maximize coverage and effectiveness</li>
<li>Provide oversight and coaching of the Business Development team to hit outbound activity targets (calls, emails, meetings), qualify opportunities, and remove barriers to advance deals</li>
<li>Manage third-party partners, including onboarding, goal-setting, performance oversight, and compliance with company standards</li>
<li>Support the rollout and implementation of new business opportunities developed by Sales management, translating strategy into action</li>
<li>Lead creative implementation and strategic reviews of proposals and pricing with attention to production timing, costs, and alignment with Sales management’s revenue targets</li>
<li>Govern Salesforce CRM: conduct regular audits for consistency, accuracy, and reliability; implement strategic automations, custom fields, and dashboards to surface insights to Sales leadership; train and upskill the Business Development team on efficient use of sales tools and CRM best practices</li>

Qualifications

<li>8+ years of relevant business development and/or sales management experience with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets within an agency/media company or branded content studio experience required</li>
<li>Proficient in building media packages, sponsorships, and sales presentations</li>
<li>Problem-solver focused on results-driven solutions&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to support a high-energy sales culture that fosters success, enthusiasm, and a winning atmosphere</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to travel client pitches and meetings&nbsp;</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and willingness to learn other tools / software such as Winmo, Monday.com, etc., to support the sales process</li>

The News &amp; Content unit of the University of Virginia’s <a href="https://communications.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">Office of Communications</a> seeks a Senior Editor to help us tell the dynamic story of UVA and to advance its strategic priorities through content that engages with and grows a multitude of audiences.
This position would be ideal for a seasoned, mature editor at a daily newspaper, magazine or online publication with significant deadline experience and a track record of working with writers to generate compelling stories and improve copy.
The Senior Editor, reporting to the UVA Today Managing Editor, will oversee several direct reports; edit copy for grammar, accuracy, and adherence to Associated Press and local style; and research and write stories as needed. The ideal candidate will be a sharp-eyed, detail-focused journalist who efficiently shepherds daily stories through the editing process while also taking the time to help writers improve their craft. He or she will be attuned to news and current events and be able to quickly identify opportunities to showcase UVA’s students, faculty and staff in the context of the day’s key stories and issues.
